How the Creative Process Became the Journey
Journaling
To this day journaling remains an important part of the process. In the recovery process as much work, if not more, is done outside of the clinicians setting as is, and having a place to go to write that is private, sacred, and safe is a miracle.
I recently went through my journals, and tossed a bunch, but also thought it could be a nice way of letting go to reshape them into inspirational short bits. It isn't often that one gets a window into a survivor's process and it is my hope that SOMEONE, SOMEWHERE might be comforted to know that there is someone in life who is "beyond" it all, and thriving well.
Taking a peek at the journals, and seeing oneself, well, you know this person can relate to what you might presently be going through.
As a part of our shedding process we crafted a few of these into e-book formats with words of encouragement.
I've uploaded them to a YouTube Channel if you would like to have a peek inside a PTSD processing journal of a survivor of extreme trauma.
