Summer of Mondays
In Summer of 2017, as a part of our local free community arts outreach programming, we hosted a summer of Mondays for collaborative play. Present in the space were Tess Jacobs, Hylla Fischer, Stephen Kelly, and Misa Kelly engaging in creative play: writing, drawing, moving, photographing, videotaping and generally having a really great time!
The improvisations were shaped into short videos/movies for sharing on social media. Our experiment was to see if we could shape work to be 1 minute or less that audience's online could connect with and feel an uplift to their day. A small espresso dose of inspiration geared to the busy lifestyle and the mind that is accustomed to consuming content in bite sizes rather than evening length investments in time to attend a life performance.

Hylla Fischer shaped some of the creative research for a solo for a NECTAR performance at Yoga Soup and Misa Kelly integrated some of the creative research into "Van Gogh Goes To Brooklyn", a collaboration with visual artist and Mental Health Advocate Michelle Cotrina.
