When organizing as SonneBlauma Danscz Theatre, our community discovered the value of working together as a West Coast Contemporary Dance Tribe. SonneBlauma collaborated with artists in other regions to co-produce a show they called 3 Cities: 3 Choreographers. This enabled SonneBlauma to realize goals of creative growth brought on by performing for new audiences in other cities, and countries even. This quest, in turn, enriched the lives of new audiences with work created outside of their region. 3 Cities: 3 Choreographers was a theme brought forward for their tour to Istanbul for 2 Cities: 2 Choreographers and a week long residency at Cati organized by ArtBark collaborator and SonneBlauma collaborator Joanna Nobbe. This work laid the foundation for our work as co-producers and collaborators such as the Alma Karlin Project, The Minty Project, THE HIVE, and Turf.
