As the dancer who trains has HerHis process which may or may not include the magical plie, tendue, rond de jamb, frappe, and grand battlement, the visual artist has HerHis breath of life drawing.
A large chunk of living has been devoted to floating in and out of life drawing group gatherings.
This portion of my journey skirts words, so I skip this, and let the images speak for themselves.
At times it feels like I go into an altered state of consciousness when the work flows through me.
I draw with my right hand, my left hand, both hands, and my feet.
I tend not to sign the work, because it feels like something larger than who I am as Misa, Dylan & Friends is charging through me.
I also tend to not date it.
My hope is - to channel timeless expression - timeless expression that is brave, playful, daring, and honest.
A small bit of these expressions are in private collections in California and Europe.
To date I've only sold a work when someone has inquired about an acquisition, or, when it is appropriate to gift. These works are in private collections in California, Vienna, Paris, and Ljubljana.
My favorite installation to date of this work was in the Lourve - guerrilla style.
There are hundred of drawings and I am beginning a sketchbook series inspired by Leon Olson.
His task for me - to fill 100 sketchbooks.
