Life Painting
As with my life drawing, the moments when I have had at painting, the works tend to make themselves. That is to say, I have no conscious control over what will emerge once I commit to the integrity of the process.
I took a long hiatus from painting from life, and returned to it in 2015 bringing paints to the local life drawing lab.
I don't consider myself a "painter" but more of a scribbler with paint tubes, preferring to mix paint as I work in the moment.
I feel paintings of a different nature beginning to fester/brew/foment inside.
In this moment I am focused once again on life drawing, movement, performance, with my pulse on recording recent songs, and finishing up a batch of ceramics with a rock carving seeking to be finished also on my radar.
One can only juggle so much at one time I find.
