TRINA MANNINO

Trina is a principal artist/organizer for ArtBark International working from the Brooklyn home office.

She graduated from the University of Michigan in 2009 with a dual degree in Dance and Communication Studies. Upon graduation she relocated to New York, and has performed with Anabella Lenzu’s Dance/Drama, ArtBark International, Barbara Mahler Dances, Dance Elixir and Laura Peterson Choreography. She presently studies under Barbara Mahler and Janet Panetta.

As a member of the multigenerational performing arts collective ArtBark International, Trina collaborates with four fantastic artists in New York, Los Angeles, Santa Barbara and Europe. Most recently, the collective completed a month-long residency in Slovenia, culminating with performances at the country’s premiere opera house, The Cankarjev Dom. Her performance in ArtBark’s Alma.Alone was described as “subtle, intellectual and sophisticated” in the Slovenian publication Parada Plesa.

Trina made her first short dance film We’re Here Now which premiered at Triskelion Arts’ CollabFest in September 2013, and was screened at Center for Performance Research’s Fall Movement Festival that same year. In 2015, she was a guest teaching artist at the University of Michigan in the dance program’s Dance Master Class Repertory Series.

Her writing regularly appears in Dance Europe Magazine and The Dance Enthusiast.
